On Wednesday November 1st at 6:30pm, the Boston Echo/Alexa Developers hosted its monthly meeting at Brightcove’s offices located at 290 Congress St, Boston. Our own Joseph Jaquinta, described as one of the most active members of the global Alexa community, gave an encore presentation of his talk “Voice Technology – What does it mean for design?” Here’s an excerpt from the meeting programme:
Jo Jaquinta has been writing applications for Alexa for almost as long as it has been there. In that time he’s racked up a number of ‘firsts’. The first skill with professionally recorded audio, the first massively multiple game, the first real time strategy game, and so on. A developer with over 30 years of experience, Alexa most interests him because of the challenging design environment it represents. The emphasis in his dozen or so skills and two books is always on the user experience.
